This notice explains how Younique Therapies handles personal information received through this website and by email. Younique Therapies is a sole-trader counselling practice based in Consett, County Durham. Kerry is the data controller and can be contacted at ormond.kerry@hotmail.co.uk.

Information collected

This website does not contain an enquiry form. If you choose to email, the information collected may include your name, email address, preferred session format and availability, together with anything else you decide to include. Please avoid sending detailed health or other highly sensitive information in your first email.

Why information is used

Information is used to respond to enquiries, discuss availability, arrange counselling and provide the service you request. The lawful basis is normally taking steps at your request before entering into a counselling agreement, or performing that agreement. Information may also be handled where necessary to meet legal and professional obligations or to protect vital interests.

Counselling records

If you become a client, further information about confidentiality, clinical records, payments, retention and your rights will be provided in the counselling agreement and client privacy information. This website notice does not replace those documents.

Sharing and storage

Personal information is not sold or used for advertising. It may be processed by service providers used to operate the practice, such as email, secure administration and website-hosting providers, or disclosed where required by law, safeguarding duties or a serious risk of harm. Providers are used only where there is an appropriate reason and relevant protection.

How long information is kept

Enquiry information is kept only as long as necessary to respond and manage any follow-up. Client information is retained in line with the practice’s professional, insurance, legal and record-retention requirements, as explained in the counselling agreement, then securely deleted or destroyed.

Website information and cookies

The website does not use advertising or marketing cookies. The hosting provider may process limited technical information needed to deliver, secure and understand use of the website, such as IP address, device or browser information and server logs.

Your rights
